Paternity

Many couples are choosing now-a-days to have children together, but not to marry. Thus, paternity actions are not uncommon. In many instances paternity is established voluntarily. In other cases, a mother who is seeking child support may need to confirm parentage. Other times, the client is male and seeking an answer regarding paternity and/or the right to custody and visitation. Once paternity has been established, the rights and obligations of the parents concerning support and custody mirror those of parents going through a dissolution of their marriage.
